Every now and then, a bride walks through our doors and brings a little spark with her, not just in her smile, but in the people who walk alongside her. For Lucy, that spark came in the form of two incredible women: her mum, Bev, and her sister, Kate. And together? They became a part of our Wedding Belles Love story in the most beautiful way.

When Lucy came to us, she was looking for the dress something elegant, flattering, and true to her. “I’d been to other places,” she said, “but I never had that feeling. My mum and sister said, this is your moment let’s find the one that makes you feel like you.”

From the minute Lucy stepped into her Stella York gown, it was magic. “The shape, the detail, the way it made me feel it was perfect,” she told us. “Bev cried, Kate gasped, and I just knew.” It was that once-in-a-lifetime moment we always hope for, and we were so honoured to witness it.

But the best part? Lucy’s story didn’t end with a ‘yes.’

Her mum Bev became one of our most loved humans — full of warmth, wisdom, and mum-level support. She entered one of our competitions and won an Afternoon Tea Experience, and since then, she’s proudly taken on the role of Shop Mum. Whether she’s popping in for fittings, chatting with other mums, or joining us for photoshoots and podcast episodes, Bev brings pure heart to everything she does.

And then there’s Kate! Lucy’s sister, hype woman, and all-round superstar. She was right there through it all, offering the perfect mix of encouragement, honesty, and sparkle. Kate’s now part of our extended Belles family too, coming back for photoshoots and always showing up with the same joy she brought to Lucy’s big moment.
