I was so excited to start looking for my wedding dress, but I was also a little nervous as I didn’t really know what to expect. My mum and I booked an appointment at Wedding Belles with the intention of just trying on a few different styles to see what suited me and what I liked. We hadn’t even properly booked our venue at that point — we were going to do that the very next day! We were getting married in August and booking everything in March, so we had quite a short time to plan everything. After trying on a couple of the dresses I had chosen myself, I tried on one of the dresses my mum had picked out. It had the big flowers I was so certain I didn’t want, so I never expected to love it as much as I did! As soon as I put it on, I just knew. It was the one! I honestly couldn’t believe it. We had gone in just to have a look and try on a few different styles, and there I was, falling in love with a dress that was the complete opposite of what I thought I wanted. I was so shocked, excited and happy all at once. It just felt right, and I knew it was the dress I wanted to wear when I married Allyn. Our wedding day on 28th August 2026 at The Wroxeter was everything we had dreamed of and more. It was such an exciting and emotional time, and being able to get ready with our daughter made the morning even more special. Having those precious moments together before the ceremony is something I will always treasure. My maid of honour and bridesmaid were absolutely amazing throughout everything. They supported me, kept me going and never judged my craziness — even when I was adamant about burying sausages the night before the wedding! 😂 They were there for me through all the excitement, nerves and last-minute wedding madness, and I couldn’t have asked for better people by my side.
